Have a nice day!!!!!!!

OMGOSH, yesterday I spent the whole day sitting in the Maple Pavilion at Lagoon reading. Reading, reading, reading. Totally reading. As if I were sitting in the public library. The teenagers who came and went next to my picnic table finally caught my attention and said, "Gee whiz, you're just having tons of fun at Lagoon today!"

"Actually, I AM having tons of fun," I said. "What of it?"

Teenagers these days!!

It wasn't like I just sat and sat and sat. I did get up twice to go to the bathroom. And to buy six water bottles for my kids at three different locations so I could use all of my buy one, get one free coupons.

See, I ain't no weirdie!

I don't know why it felt so good to just sit at a picnic table and read. Maybe there was something about all the chaos and commotion--all the screaming children on the backwards Chinese dragon ride behind me and the passerbyers with oversized nose rings and spritely mohawks. (By the way, how do you blow your nose with an oversized nose ring hanging there? Just one of the deep thoughts I was pondering at the picnic table in between pages.)

Or maybe there was something about the fact that I haven't done a single batch of laundry since we returned from Lake Powell. I take that back. I haven't folded a single batch of laundry since we returned from Lake Powell. Our laundry room is just one huge pile of unfolded clothes right now.

Which is kind of a great metaphor for my vida loca right now.

Not to mention my facial loca. I pulled the tweezers out after Lake Powell, but I somehow got interrupted after plucking the first eyebrow, and yeah, I never have gotten back to that.

Which is another great metaphor for my vida loca right now.

SIGH!

I did drop my daughter and her Hawaii friends off at the temple again this morning, but this time I was prepared. I drove. And I kept the windows up. And the music down. Partially because I was in my pajamas and partially because I was in control of the situation.

I'll have to report on all the books I read at Lagoon tomorrow because I gotsta run. I've got three basketball games, two tennis matches and an all star-baseball game to attend today. All on opposite sides of the state.

Oh, and I've got a room full of laundry to fold.

Have a nice day!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S. Yes, DeNae, Spritely is a real adverb. It means the mohawks were crisp and clean, with no caffeine.

I got to read a book this week also, due to having 4 whole days off of work. It was rather amazing. I had forgotton how much fun that can be.

Good luck with the laundry. I think unfolded clothes are a like fruit flies, it reproduces exponentially.

I wanna know what you've been reading. Sounds like a lovely day to me just sitting and reading.

And my laundry is the same. I'm great at washing and drying...it's the folding that I seem to struggle with.

LOL Spritely. Wouldn't that be adjective, though? SInce they are modifying a noun? Of were the mohawks moving? The ones I used to wear when I went to Lagoon were hairsprayed too stiff to move.

BTW do they still have stake lagoon day? Was this the Sponge Bob Ward stake lagoon day? Or just the crash test dummy family lagoon day? Either way, sitting there reading sounds delightful.

Aloha, I'm at work avoiding going over to the pink house. Did you see I posted a picture of it on facebook? The outside is still very ugly, but the inside is white and clean with wood laminate and tile and it's looking very beautiful even though Kute Kasey won't help us. It also has my right pointer finger's blood in the grout because I sanded it down to bare nubbin. So now it takes me like 5 mins to clock in for work because they have coolio fingerprint time reporting machines and I have no ridges on my finger for it to read.

Brandyn called me this morning because his kids are dying to see Jim and Nan's new fort. Then he asks if I'm going to be ok with both him and Al not in the hood anymore. I told him I've decided not to become emotionally attached to anyone anymore so it won't matter.

Martha, how nice that I can be a conduit for getting you KK to help. How sweet is that. ha ha What am I talking about? You have a gift of getting people to help you all by yourself. I'll go check Facebook for the photo and I'll keep in mind that it's what's on the inside that counts. That's what my MIL always says anyway. How funny that you have no fingerprint. Is that all it takes to change your identity?

And Martha, you're learning. A stone-cold heart is the only way to go. Am I right, or am I right?

Braden, LOL, I thought maybe DeNae or Annette Lyon would catch that, but it looks like I can't pull anything over on you either. What I meant to say was that the crisp and clean mohawk moved with no caffeine. YES, this was the Sponge Bob stake Lagoon day. Hence all the nose rings and mohawks. ;)

Barb, I'll tell you all about the books tomorrow. And Pat, what have you been reading?

T, where have you been, girlfriend?

OCB, my prizes always entail dried seaweed. Hope you like that. ;)

Hey, my verifier says stabil. I think I'm getting more stabil, peeps. Yippie!!

Cluttered Brain said...

Are you doing a giveaway or something?
I love dried seaweed. My husband makes sushi--Mmm. Delightful.
I must have missed the giveaway.
I guess I am OCB.

*sigh* My name is TOO dang long to type out.

cluttered brain I shall be. Or OCB!
;)
have a great summer!
Do you have a blogfrog community?

I wondered about the Spritely too but you're three steps ahead of me. I want to know about your books. I'm looking for what's next to read.

I can't imagine what book would keep you so entertained and at the edge of your seat that you would MISS out on watching the nose-ring nastiness blow his nose..through the ring... true yumminess indeed.

I hope you are able to get the laundry folded before you have to put all them clothes away for wintertime stuff.

Really.
You should try to get out a little more and do stuff.
Instead of sitting around the house all day.

man i was totally at the park the other day and forgot that martha was moving there.. Now i know, Its the Pink house!

So i think its hilarious that some chinese person keeps commenting... so i found a translating thingy and this was todays message: Are there items in the law of stupid laws: "an organization of fools, Hengda is equal to two-thirds in."........... but no translation for the ................ haha! im gonna go back to all your old post and translate em!

So last week, i was at a party and Wolfgang was there, and i did the games and i gave big costco size bags of Shelly senbei as the prizes, and thought of you....

then threw my back out and all ive been doing is reading... i hate that i have to justify myself to lay around and do nothing but read!!

Isnt people watching the best, when everyone is looking at you thinking you're the weirdo when you know deep down that they are?! lol!

So this is the translation of the JJ post last week:

Swan had to marry a toad will give birth to an ugly duckling

Whatever!....................

Omgosh, Iwa, you totally beat me to the punch. I translated the last comment too and was going to post it today. My translation is close, but more complete. ha ha It is as nonsensical though. ha ha Hey, btw, I'm so happy to see you here again. I was thinking you must have moved already. When do you move? I guess I should check your blog. I've been absent as of late. T's friends leave tomorrow so I'll get back in the swing. How cool that you and Wolfgang and a bag of Shelly Senbei were all in the same local together. Aw shucks. That makes me miss you all terribly all the sudden. A pang, if you will, is squeezing at my stone cold heart.

P.S. I lub the JJ translation. That's one wise ancient Chinese secret messenger.

ALOHA SWIRL! I'm so happy to see you here too. Now the pang is even pangier. OUCH! MISS YOU SO MUCH. And I have no idea how those Chinese characters come to fruition on the keyboard.
