Do you ever feel?

Do you ever feel like you're treading water?

Or like you're not treading water, just sinking. Down, down, down, you go. You can see the light above, but you can't break the surface to reach it. At least not until you finish driving all four of your kids to and from practice and work and weight training. Several times a day. Starting at 5:30 a.m.

Do you ever feel like when everyone else is done practicing . . . you might get a turn to practice? Except when everyone else is done practicing, they always need a protein shake. And you're always out of frozen fruit, so you gotta run to the store first. And while you're out you gotta try to find your daughter a prom dress, since the one you ordered from China ain't gonna make it in time. Even though eight days ago you paid $30 extra for rush delivery.

Do you ever feel like that?

Me neither.

I feel sorry for people who feel like that.

Do you ever feel like a plastic bag? Drifting through the wind?

Or like a house of cards? One blow from caving in?

Me neither.

But I think Katy Perry does.

I feel sorry for Katy Perry too.

I bet sometimes she feels overwhelmed, like she just can't do it all. Plus be a firework too.

And then some guy named Mike comes along and does it all. Just like that.

No worries, Katy. I still like your version best. Even though you didn't do any of your own instruments. And you probably didn't write any of the words either.

I bet you didn't even do your own hair and make-up.

But don't feel bad, some people need more help than other people.

You're still da bombdiggity in my eyes.

Wow I hate it when that happens. Just hang in there and someday it will be over, right? I hope so for you. Sounds like you need a vacation from your vacation.

I am very sorry to hear about the your state of frostiness. You should have asked me, because trust me any sporting event in the spring in Vegas could range in temps from 40 to 80. So it is best to be a scout and be prepared for any eventuality. It took me several baseball games to learn this in the which I turned into a popcicle before the end of the game. Waiting in the car is a lovely thing when it can work. Just not practical with young children who require supervision.

I am now very good at the ways of warmth, from the thermals to the hand warmers. There is no way any sane person could have survived last Saturday without a coat.

My husband being the frugal person that he is, turned our heat off over a week ago when the temps got up close to 80. I shivered for the past 4-5 days until yesterday when I just gave up and turned the heat back on. I am all for saving some money, but really unless I can just stay under the covers all day long, central heating was necessary.

Oh and I try to avoid feeling at all costs. It seems to make everything so much better. I think. I am not really sure since I can't feel.

I wonder where Kritta is. I miss that girl. And all the old gang for that matter. But I suppose that is life. Things do tend to change.

hmmm where is everyone?

I think it is sad that you changed your computer time from Hawaii.

and you're still da bombdiggity in my eyes even if you are sinking under...

my niece (who lives up your way) just went and found a place to rent her prom dress yesterday - if you're still in dress-finding mode pop me a message and I'll see if I can find out where she went!

I agree that I like the Katy Perry version better, but I was impressed with all his sounds! She just had more feeling in her vocals. As for the dress from China well you may not get what you thought you were getting. I have a freind that bought her wedding dress from China on line and it was not the color they said or showed on line. Also the front and back looked different and they used a different pattern for the beading. She ended up getting a different dress and sold the one from China when it came. As for feeling like your going under I feel that way all the time. It's a fight every day. I think it is the monotany of it all... Wake up, make lunches, do kids hair, breakfast, bus, laundry, dishes, repeat the laundry and dishes, clean up after the little monsters, make snack, make dinner, dishes, baths, bed,,, repeat! But spring is on its way and I can send them outside more and more and let the nice clean fresh air in. That is always good. But spring break is upon us and our TV sensor died so we can't watch movies. I DO NOT know how I will survive with out having the kids plunked down in front of the tube for at least 2 hours a day!!!! I need my QUIET time darn it!
Hope you feel better soon!!!! Hugs!

As for the Chinese dress...wish I'd known you were gonna do that so I coulda warned you! We did the Chinese dress thing for Dani's wedding. DISASTER!!! Warning Will Robinson!Warning! Warning! That dress is STILL hanging in my closet, two and half years later. We can't even SELL the dang thing.
We had to hurry and buy a different dress in Utah and paid alot extra to have it tailored. Sucha a headache.
As for "ME" time...I so get ya. Hang in there. Your day will come...at least that's what I hear.
