Dummy Boot Camp

Okay, prom really is over and done with, so let's really move on to the next topic.

Dummy Boot Camp.

I'm officially declaring the month of April National Dummy Boot Camp month. Or at least local Dummy Boot Camp month. Extremely local. Like within the confines of my own thick skull.

I'm going on a bear hunt during the month of April. A bold, brave, treacherous bear hunt. Deep into the recesses of my own mind.

Wanna come?

I wasn't gonna ask you, but I need someone to talk to about it, being as I can't talk to my hub, since every time I mention it he begins to chuckle.

See I've been on this bear hunt for a long, long time--years in fact, and I've slowly been moving towards this enormous, great wall in front of me. It was very far away for a long time, like Cleveland far away. Like when you're walking down the strip towards Excalibur far away. But I kept taking baby steps toward it.

And now I am standing right in front of it.

And I'm shaking in my boots. Mostly because I don't know what it's made of, or how many bears are guarding it. And also because I don't know how to get to the other side.

I can't go over it. I can't go under it. And I can't go around it.

Gotta go through it.

I hope Dummy Boot camp will whip me into shape so I'll be ready to skin me some bears.

I also hope it will sharpen my vision so I can see not only what the wall is made of, but also where the secret passage is that leads to the other side.

I'll explain everything later, but who's with me, peeps? Huh? Team Dummy? Huh? Huh? Huh?

(I'm afeared of bears, btw! Are you still with me?)

Hands in the middle . . . Goooooooo duMMy!

Do we get matching T-shirts on Team Dummy? Can I be number 11? Just wondering.

Oh and can I sit by Martha on the team bus. There will be a team bus, right? And can we sing camp songs on the bus? Can we?

Nutty Hamster Chick said...

And snacks. What kind of snacks will we have on Team Dummy? And just what do you need to wear for a bear hunt?

Nutty Hamster Chick said...

Maybe the bus could stop by the mall and we could all do some shopping before we get down to the team business of kicking that bear's trash.

Well and then I suppose while we are at it, we might as well all get pedicures. Don't cha think? Or at the very least massages. Maybe after the bear trashing is over with.

I think I would like one of those hats with the flaps that cover your ears and is very soft and furry.

Oh and of course I meant to type "there was your post" not there way your post". Dang I hate typos.

And I really am just too impatient with all I have to say to proofread. One of my weaknesses I have to admit.

Goodnight. Sleep tight. Don't let the bears bite.

Don't cha hate it when husbands smile about things that are not the least bit funny?

Gooooooo, dummy!

Nutty Hamster Chick said...

Yea me too.

Look Melanie J snuck in the middle of all my screaming. How cute is that. She is in the middle of a hamster sandwich.

What about cheerleaders? Have you given any thought to that. Hmmm.

You've got me intrigued now. That's just mean! Maybe it's like my wall. I'll bust through it with you.

y'know, I'm going to be chanting "going on a bear hunt" all day long... which normally wouldn't be a problem, but I do have to be out in public today...

you don't think anyone will think me odd at the grocery store right?

I might have to zip it during my board meeting though!!!

and no worries - we've got your back... unless it's Polar Bears, because those critters are just freaky scary to me!

me too...though my bear hunting skills are kinda rusty. I can't wait to see what's on the other side of your secret passage.

I am always down for an adventure, especially including bears, i've seen one once, so I think that qualifies me for skinning and all, right? It can't be that hard, or disgusting... Hey, I'll be in Utah for a month this summer...AN ENTIRE MONTH!!! Well probably be staying in Springville with family for the majority, but you know what would make my summer complete? If I could see you! Really. So, if you are not gone during the end of May to the end of June then lets get together. I'll bring my BB gun for hunting. That should be strong enough to blast through some walls. They let those on planes right? :)

Love it..I don't usually poke a bear with a stick....but I'm down for it...it's how we roll!

Martha said...

You can do it! Just go for it!

Yeah, I get to sit by Nutty, but I have to warn you I get car sick and sometimes I spill delicious strawberry-banana smoothies on the front dash on the way to tennis matches and don't have anything to clean it up with.

Ok, I can't believe you didn't reply about my funny comment. I thought it was one of my best ever! I was cracking myself up over it and you didn't even comment on it!!

Oh Martha, I just crawled five miles on my hands and knees while lashing myself to beg penance for my oversight. I DID laugh out loud when I read that. hee hee (I remember it so vividly! HA) And it was once of my favoritist comments from you. But then all of your comments are my favoritist. You da bomb. And yes, wasn't that so darn sad that Chang turned the ball over three times at the end of the game. WE HAD THAT GAME! AAAhhhhhhh! But he is awesome so I can't be mad. That's the farthest BYU-H has ever gone and I'm proud.

OMGOSH, did DeNae swear in my comment box?

Martha, don't feel bad. Look I didn't reply to Keola either. I meant to. I totally thought YES, I WANT TO SEE YOU!" when I read her comment and then I forgot to telegraph it over.

Keola YES YES YES, I would love to see you. I will be here most of June. Except Girls camp 14-18 and Youth Conference 22-23. And maybe Seattle during the first weekend. We can squeeze it in. My mom lives in Springville so it's not a huge stretch. BTW, my Gigi is not doing well. sniff. How's your gramps? Did he pass?

Garden and Lori and Donna and T, HIGH FIVE! Let's ROLL!
