Here's a riddle for you . . .

Why is it so darn hard for me to write about certain subjects? Like Mt. Carmel?

Sigh!

Last year I called Mt. Carmel The Twilight Zone--and not the Edward Cullen variety, the doo doo doo doo variety.

I've had some issues with that little blink-and-you'll-miss-it town. BIG TIME!

But that was before I looked at it with my big girl eyeballs. My big girl eyeballs sweat a lot more than my little girl eyeballs. In fact they got quite a work out this past weekend when I went back in time for a few days.

Maybe if I pretend none of you are here I can write about it truthfully.

Tomorrow.

Because I just can't think about it today.

Today alls I can think about is this funny sign I captured moments before I entered Mt. Carmel.

Seriously!???

Can someone please call David Letterman?

I hope you don't let this sign give you the wrong impression of small town Utah. My gut is on the father-forgive-them-for-they-know-not-what-they-just-wrote side of the fence.

I mean, this town don't even have a Hooters.

hee hee hee

Be back tomorrow with more Twilight Zone.

I'm so glad you posted those two pictures. They made this day awesome.

they know what they wrote on that sign... I mean, that waitress isn't wearing anything but an apron!!!

(and yet, it's still hilarious!)

I'm betting that the pie maker doesn't really look like the girl on the sign.

hahahahaa! I'm thinking that a pie made by a ho has gotta be way better than one not made by a ho! surely it's just way more juicy and tart and such as! that is the funniest sign ever- seriously how has Mr. Letterman not been alerted? Cooters also amused me, but I'm afraid the Ho pies stole my heart.
p.s. you don't HAVE to tell us about why your eyeballs sweated so much, you know. maybe its something you need to keep to yourself...no pressure here haha.

Don't all nekked woman that look like hookers make pie?
That's exactly what I do when I'm nekked. I have a sudden urge to whip up a pie.

I think they know exactly what they're saying. Even if, at the time the sign was made, it meant something else. They've had a long time to take it down, and they haven't.

Mt. Carmel is now my favorite town in the universe.

And to think they've been doing it since 1931…

Oh, oh, oh, oh!!! Joshua Radin. Have never heard of him!! (Isolated here in SE Arizona) He was up on your playlist and I nearly lost my heart at the first few words. Thankyouthankyouthankyou for putting him there.

Google brought him together with, of all people, Jack Johnson! Could this be a coincidence? I think not, knowing how you lub mr. johnson.
