Now my occipital hurts!

My face hurts (from Jim and Nana's video). My heart hurts (from Martha's video). And now my occipital bone hurts.

It's because today my friend's son came over to do interviews and take footage for his video entry into my contest. I LOL'd so hard that I'm pretty sure I strained my occipital lobe.

It wasn't because I was being funny, it was because my MIL was being funny. Oh my goodness, Peeps. OH. MY. GOODNESS. I hope I can get my hands on some of that video footage, particularly her explanation of how to make lumpy dick cereal, as well as her reaction to watching that Double Rainbow video on YouTube.

Oh, and her singing the Good Morning to You song was pretty adorable too.

If I'm being honest, SHE should be the next good mood blogger.  She could put anyone in a good mood with that song alone. (Unless you're laying in bed at 7 a.m. and she sings it in your face. With all the actions.)

But can I say something confidential? Just between you and me? Try keep in it on the DL, okay. (That means down low.)  (And yes I meant to say try keep it, without the preposition to. They don't bother with prepositions in Hawaii and I'm trying to stay in the loop.

Okay, don't tell any of my friends or neighbors or family members or Sponge Bob ward members, but I learned something about myself during filming today. I am not very comfortable in my own skin. When I'm in front of a camera my skin gets itchy, like a wool sweater.

Do you think I have issues?

Me too.

Do you think I should spend a year in Italy/India/Indonesia working through those issues?

Me too.

Or I could just watch Eat, Pray, Love and learn vicariously through Elizabeth Gilbert. I'll probably just do that because I'm super busy right now.

Actually I just watched Eat, Pray, Love tonight. I was expecting to be more disappointed than I was because I really dig that book. Yes, they botched it up pretty good in parts, but I was still able to glean some movie wisdom from it:

Every person, place and thing (in other words every noun) can be summed up in one single word, despite their vast, enormous dichotomies and complexities.

Speaking for myself, as a noun, I think my one word would be . . . SAM-e.

hee hee

Okay when the video posts tomorrow just look away, okay. Except for the part when my MIL comes on. You won't want to miss that part.

See you tomorrow.  The voting for my DEB-e for SAM-e video contest will run Mon-Fri so I'm going to be posting every day next week on my Magic Quilt blog. (Wooot wooo)

Happy Sunday, and don't forget to vote!

As far as the itchy skin.. i think it's normal right? I used to hate to skype my own family, just because i couldn't stand looking at my face.. and then i learned to turn the camera off! haha! but anyways.. Love the fortune cookie... woohoo.. last stretch.. lets do this!

Itchy skin.......ewwww, I hope you don't have wool-lice. That is the worst.

I think you should be very comfortable in your skin, cuz you wouldn't be nearly as pretty without it. Seriously.

I am doing my darndest to get people voting for you. I'd stand on a street corner and hussle for ya, but my town doesn't have stuff like that.
I did do a blurb about dummies and you on my blog.
Hopefully you gots a couple of votes.

Have you ever forgotten yourself and called someone in your Spongebob Ward ....Spongebob?

Do you know that you can vote many times using multiple browsers? I think it is a bug in Sam-e systems. I wish you good luck :)

CLIFF HANGER!!!!!

For everyone but me. I got to see some of that footage and it was so funny!! I can't wait 'til he gets the video made so you can see how GREAT you look and SOUND in real life. In fact, I think I missed out on my directorial debut opportunity with TLC. I should have had my son filming you for the past two months while trying to win this contest. I could have pitched this mini series as the next hit reality show.

The pitch would have been: The Amazing Race-- From Crash Test Dummy to Good Mood Blogger. Tune in to find out if dummies really do have feelings.

If the Sam E judges can't see the obvious choice-- (material and writing that is so original and totally relates to the people who really need to be be in good moods)... then at least you would have become a celebrity on TLC and you would have gotten to do the vote for Debbie all over again on Dancing with the Stars!

You would make Bristol Palin look like a klutz. Oh wait, Bristol Palin already did that. : )
