I don't know why my life is so exciting!

But it just is!

Even when I'm in the middle of nowhere famous people flock to me.

I had not one, but TWO famous people sightings while at Island Park with my in-laws.

The first was a childhood heartthrob of mine, Pepe Le Pew:

I think he was stalking me because I caught him in the window well outside of one of the cabin bedrooms.

In case you were wondering, YES, he is a huge Casanova in real life (although the Peeping Tom thing was a little creepy).

He totally marked his territory.   I would have gagged nearly to death if he hadn't been a French skunk.   (You guys, the French stench is way more romantic than the American stench.)

Speaking of stench . . . are you sitting down?

Go grab a chair, girlz.  Guess who else was stalking me?

EDWARD CULLEN.

No lie.  He was totally in my cabin last night, flying around.  He scared the bejeepers out of my nephews and unfortunately my hub is the jealous type so he chased him around as if he were a bat outta helk.

I don't know why men don't get the whole smokin' hot vampire thing.

I told my hub he looked like a lunatic running around with that broom trying to smack Edward senseless, but as usual he tried to turn it back on me saying I was the looney tunes.

"He's harmless!"  I yelled.  "He probably just wants to watch me sleep!"

Shoots!  This could have been me last night, peeps.

I'm just so thankful for my super sensitive magnetic force field so I don't have to create an alter ego to cope with reality.

Not that reality is hard to cope with.   If you have tricks.  And a gallon jug of Mountain Dew.

OMGOSH!  Look what I get just for switching to the Dark Side and moving to Utah.

You too can your own gallon mug of Mountain Dew for only $7.99.

And they have Mountain Dew Freezes here too!

And I think I can get my own Mountain Dew clock if I sweet talk the manager at Gas-n-Go.

So, I'm back from Island Park and I got to ride the whole way in the back seat with my MIL. She really knows how to make like a Yak and YAK!  I got to hear all of her observations about who said what to whom and when and where and why (can you believe it, bless their hearts, not to be rude, just sayin').

I also got to play the cloud game.  Well, I never actually jumped in to play, but I got to ignore my MIL while she was playing the cloud game.

(It was a better than poking her in the eye).

In the clouds she saw a duck, Abraham Lincoln, and a one-legged man laying on his back smoking.

Alls I could see was a straight jacket and a bottle of Tylenol, but I didn't say a thing.

Well, I'm going to hit the sack, but Mahalo everyone for your sweet, witty, supportive, rude comments in my box yesterday.  As GAD as my witness I will respond to every single one of you . . . tomorrow.  I'm too pooped to pop tonight.

(I'm actually writing this post with my eyes closed.)

G'night everybody.  May tomorrow be a perfect day!

I played the cloud game yesterday when I was mad at my hubby. I ran outside like all the girls in the movies do, so he would chase after me.

after 45 minutes of cloud porcopines and such, I tended to my farmtown.

LAME.

You are welcome for calling you out, BTW. Utard.

So I packed up the magic quilt yesterday, almost sewn all the way, with love.
Mama Kritta is going have to finish it off cuz I ran straight into a road block. My GPS lady wasn't working.

Are you still going to read me after my month long blogging ban??

I'm worried about it.

Will you still love me>??

Do you know that I'm moving in 5 days?

Yeehaw!

5000 miles through Canada, with a 2 year old, a beagle and a cat. plus a 28 foot trailer that is going to follow us. That my hubby is going to drive.

Well I'll drive too but you know. It's a man thing, I drive all 999,856 miles in 3 days! You know how it goes.

Wow, I'm not Kritta22 but I hope it's ok if I comment.
Yes, you did meet Pepe and Edward, aren't they awesome? I see them frequenly (I think I mention earlier that I was VERY near Island Park) However, I really wish I could have been in the backseat of the car on the way home with your MIL, I totally love talking about people, bless their hearts and absolutely love the cloud game.
What an awesome bonding experience you had with her.

I am embarrassed (but not too embarrassed to admit it here PUBLICLY in the comment box) to tell you that my husband is the proud owner of one of those giant Mt. Dew mugs (and we don't even live in Utah). Our local Chevron has $.49 refills-ANY SIZE, and that is a deal he just can't pass up.

Your mother-in-law sounds like a super fun gal. I bet my mother-in-law would LOVE her to pieces.

Bless their hearts.

Kritta!! Are you serious? I am so excited that you met my nephew! We are practically related now :)
Crash, I can't wait to watch you get fat from all of that Mt. Dew. It will go nice with that Big Utah hair! haha...no offense to the Utards.
Your comment about the Vampire just wanting to watch you sleep was hilarious...in fact I am still cracking up here! hahahahahahahaha!
p.s. I love the cloud game and I hope that doesn't make you want to poke me in the eye!

You are funny. You are just so golly dang funny!! My boyfriend Shea said I remind him of you. Holy compliment!

...That said, how do you make your playlist shuffle like that?

I miss Hawaii with my whole soul and I send my condolences. From my soul to yours.

That was so funny. Thanks for sharing. I will now pronounce a moving blessing on you and Kritta.

May you have all the boxes you need. And packing Tape. And may your boxes all be labeled so you can find your mushubi maker when you need it first thing. Amen.

I thought Pepe and I were exclusive but...I guess he's just a man 'ho. How disappointing.

Wow! Didn't know Abraham Lincoln is hanging out in the clouds. I guess that is a good place to be if someone shoots you in the head at a play. Did she happen to see Elvis and MJ up there too?

We must have been having a psychic connection, because I was SURE I was going to be sprayed by a skunk while in Santa Cruz (where I got several whiffs of pepe nearby) because of the bad luck following me last week.

But no, I'm sweet as a rose. My luck's finally changing.

Hah, you saw edward.... so my girlfriend was in Port Angeles all last week and she looked and looked for edward for me , she saw the italian resturant, the book shop, but no sign of him.... because he followed you to island park! Im going to have to tell her!

So were you able to find any code red mugs?

Crash... your hilarious!

Sandi... I keep meaning to tell you that if you guys plan on having a reception here (Laie).... please let me know if you need help with supplies so your not having to lug it with you from utah or buy it...table cloths (white), glass punch bowls, layer cake stands, coolers....

IWA- you are now officially my new hero! I will be in touch

oh goodness.....if I played the cloud game in the back of a car, I would need the Mountain Dew mug to yak in.

Gosh, I wish a perpetually 17-year old sparkly vampire would swoop around MY bedroom and force my husband to defend my honor with a broom. You have all the fun, Crash.

And is your MIL six? Who plays the cloud game after the first grade, for crying out loud?

And don't you love how we Utahns super-de-dooper size whatever vices we're allowed? If marijuana were ever permitted in the W of W, we'd all be buying cannibus in 200 pound bags and smoking joints the size of trombones.

Now how do you know it wasn't Batman or something…

Whenever my wife and I smell skunk we can help but be reminded of how it has a ground coffee undertone, so we both look at each other and proclaim: "coffee-skunk"

Kritta! I used to do that too! Run. Like a little girl. And hope my hub would come running after me to scoop me up in his arms and apologize.

But he just rolled his eyes so I stopped.

I never played the cloud game though.

Kritta, OF COURSE I'll still LOVE you after your month long ban. TLA! I'm so excited about the magic quilt. I am going to put up a quilt frame in my new house when I move and I'm going to make a million magic quilts so we can heal the world.

Good luck with your move. I'm so excited for you. My hub and I drove for 3 days from New York to Utah when my daughter was 2 and my son was a week old. When we arrived my mother-in-law said, "do you guys want to go hiking tomorrow?" I hauled off and poked her straight in the eye.

Garden of Egan, you are too cute. Lucky you live near Island Park. How cool that you shared your famous people with me. Hope I get to meet you someday.

Wesley's Mom, how FUNNY that your hub has a giant Mt. Dew mug. Toooooo cool for skool. And YES, bless their hearts! ha ha ha

Hi Sandi, HA! Big hair and big buns. Everything's bigger and better in Utah. (But not bigger and better than Texas. I bet Texas sells a 2 gallon mug of Mountain Dew!)

Soooooo coool that Kritta met your nephew. That was totally cool how she psyched us all out with her I met Sandi

's nephew.

Loved that!

And sooooo coool that Iwa is helping with the wedding. Sandi, you don't realize what a gold mine you hit. Iwa used to be my 2nd counselor and she knows how to throw a party! Her whole family KNOWS how to throw and AWESOME party. They are the most talented resourceful people I know. AND they have tons of table cloths. I want to be at that wedding. Maybe I'll fly over anyway.

The Crash Test Dummy said...

Kooky Queen, NO I did not buy it. Nor will I ever buy it, cross my heart hope to die. Unless . . .

Ceramic Banana, is your boyfriend Shea Stott? He was my favorite student ever, besides all my other favorite students. If he is your boyfriend, tell me so, and I will post some photos of him in a tutu doing leaps. He's a huge leaper. And his cell phone ring was POPULAR from Wicked.

I know I will miss Hawaii with my whole soul too. Well said.

Thanks for the prayer Pat. You are DA BOMB! Seriously. Can't wait to stalk Donny and Marie with you and to go to Women's conference. ROOMIES!

Or you can just stay at my house.

Except roomies will be more fun in the dorms. We can stay up all night giggling.

I am just hanging out at the airport waiting for my plane and blogging my brains out with the free wi-fi at SLC airport. FREE WI-FI peeps! What airport gives Free Wi-Fi? SOooo awesome.

HI Mariko. I'm sorry that Pepe didnt spray you. I always knew I was his favorite. (Sorry Melanie J.)

Iwa, sorry to steal your friends Edward moment. Don't hate me because I'm a vampire magnet.

High Five April and DeNae about the cloud game.

DeNae your comment cracked me up. I read it to my hub and we both lol'd over the joint the size of a trombone.

CaJoh, that's a good point. What if it was batman?! I never thought of that!
