For Wendy . . .

Well I'm back from Colorada and my hub was right. I do have four kids. And a dog.

To tell you the truth I'm relieved. I was beginning to feel a tad bit (if not massively) self-indulgant, if you know what I mean. Working on that SAM-video uninterrupted night and day is like shining the light a little too bright on ME ME ME ME ME ME ME.

But I get to write an essay too, so that's my consolation.

Speaking of consolation . . . I heard from Kritta (who made our first Magic Quilt) and she says she is almost finished with a second quilt and that it will be done by Thanksgiving.

The timing couldn't be more perfect. I'm going to give it to Wendy over at No Botox Allowed. Read this and you'll know why.

Oh, I'll just going to come out and say it. Her son was found dead in his apartment. Her reaction perfectly encapsulated my exact reaction when my dad was found dead in his apartment. Except her agony must be ten times my agony because she's a mom and a mom's worst nightmare is losing one of their own.

Do you think she'll think I'm weird if I show up at the viewing to give her a hug? I just want to wrap my arms around her so dang bad.

There are just. so. many. people who need our comfort. Please keep sending fabric and stories to The Magic Quilt so we can keep spreading the lub.

Amber Stubbs and I are planning on attending the viewing. I think this would be such a beautiful and appreciated gesture.

I don't think she would think it was weird at all! I am sure she would love it! I wish I could be there, too . . .

I love this about the blog world! Some of us have never met but we feel love for each other and want to help lift anothers burden. That is what the Magic Quilt is about. I think she would love it and it would bring her much peace over the next little while! Knowing that thoughts and prayers have gone into it. Give her a hug for me as well!!

Jim and Nan went to townhouses and were making a video for you on Monday. I haven't seen it yet, but I'll download it and send it. They were super disappointed when I told them you couldn't use any 3rd parties. Of course they didn't know what the heck that meant.
