Misty Water Colored Memories

Memories . . .

like the corners of my mind . . .

Last night I stayed up wiping my eyes like I was watching a Barbara Streisand movie.

But I was only watching a bunch of little boyz making misty watered colored memories on my living room floor.

(That's not what it sounds like, btw.)

This is the way they were at 11 p.m.

This is the way they were at midnight.

This is the way they were at 1 a.m.

This is the way they were at 3 a.m.

This is the way they were at 5 a.m.

Tomorrow these little boyz will be nothing but a memory.

Sniff.

My living room floor will be empty.

Sniff.

Life is so unfair!

Why did I only get 3 little boyz instead of 6 little boyz?

Why? Why? Why?

But don't cry for me Argentina.  I can make do with half a half a dozen if I have to.

Sniff.

WAAAAAAHHH!!!

Why does everything always end up a misty watered colored memory of the way we were????

It's the laughterrrrr, you will rememberrrrr, whenever you rememberrrrrrr, the way that one cutie's underoos were showing in a picture you posted on your blog for all the world to seeeee...

That is one catchy tune!

There really is something wonderful about little cuzzies for your kids, isn't there? We've always lived hundreds or thousands of miles away from family, and these pix of the little cuzzes on the beach brought back such memories...no wonder you're singing Streisand tunes!

I loved it! That is hilarious (and I'm sure they'd love to know they are on the net sleeping, lol)
6 boys - Better you than me! But it does look like fun..especially the beach.

Where did you ruffle up the other boys??

I knew Mom was visiting...did she bring friends/cousins with her??

Why were you up every hour in the night?

Were you peeing?

Are you pregnant?

Do you have a UTI?

Only people that are pregnant or have a UTI go that much.

I'll call the doctor tomorrow at 9am for you to make an appt.

Beaches is my movie I run to when I need a good cry.

Did you not get any sleep?

My MIL emailed me to say, "Crash just came over, check out her blog so funny and Swirl's too!" She didn't ask, "How are the kids doing while I've been gone?" Not a single, "I miss you guys." Nope just told me to check out Crash's blog.

You have just found a new follower and she doesn't even know how to get to my blog. LOL Crash, you've hit it big, now!

It's funny how blogging has changed all of our lives so much.

I was going to say what DeNae opened with (thought I was being so clever :D). Should have been here first!

But those scattered pictures of the smiles you left behind will be so precious when time has rewritten every line.

Oh...I'm the same way...weird...

I'm actually afraid to have another child because I don't want another girl...I want boys.

SOrry, but true!

How come you were awake to take all of those pictures?

Did you catch insomonia from me? Because I can't sleep lately?

Anyway...Cutest boys in Hawaii!!! :)

11 p.m. was my favorite shot...I'm just guessing those are your twinners all intertwined with eachother....that is just habit from the good old days in the womb.haha did you show these to them? amazing they got any rest at all. Love the beach shots too, how sad that the fun has to come to an end :(

Why do we live so dang far away from all our family? You made me miss all my nieces and nephews too. Whenever we all get together the kids always have a blast. It's just that that getting together doesn't happen very often. I hope they remember their trip to Hawaii.

My twin and I slept in the same bed until we were 16 or 17--and we did the twining around one another. Now I don't want anyone to touch me, esp. not my husband whose large knobby joints should be registered as lethal weapons.

Ha ha ha Heidi! How cute. And how funny about your husband's lethal weapons. It's true my twins totally wrap themselves around each other when they sleep.

Sooo cute. Sniff.

Ha ha DeNae.

And Andrea, I showed the little boyz the blog and they all loved it and laughed hysterically to see themselves revealed to the world all tied up in knots. ha ha

Kristina P, you killjoy, you caught me. I was actually up grading papers until about 1 am, but I didn't really stay up all night.

Shelle, I totally hear you, girlfriend. You probably have insomnia from your new project ideas. I'm totally on board as soon as my company leaves and my papers are graded, which is THIS WEEK! YAY!

Amanda, your MIL is so cute. She made me feel like a total superstar, which is so weird. HONEST TO PETE!

You stayed up to take pictures. Hee hee.

Crash, I'm so mean I never even say "my bad."

People usually look at their best when they're sleeping. Why is that?

I got two boys....I love boys...they are so fun! I wish they had cousins closer to them, but I'm glad they have each other....or will have each other again in 3 DAYS!!!! I'm about to bust!

Holy crap, lady! Why were you up every 2 hours!?!?!? I've been out of the country for a couple of weeks - maybe I missed something. Must read....

We thought we wouldn't bug you today for a picture... your last day and all...

Love the shot of boys at the beach.

Oh! You had me. I thought you stayed up all night! I'm such a sucker.

My kids end up wound all around me. What cute pains in the neck (and back) they are.

I'm late to the game AGAIN! mostly because I was recovering from my own sleepover of girls...

I do however have 3 boys I'm willing to loan out occasionally - especially on those days when they have scouts and baseball and science fair...

Ohhhhhh, the way we were...we've only been home for about 10hours and it already seems like a dream. Luckily, grandma got home before we did. The temp inside our house was 42 degrees. Yeah, that's right, I said INSIDE the house. Poor grandma had to brave the artic tundra and the desparetly lonely Kate the cat when she came home. When we arrived home she had the place all cozied up for us. I've already looked online for nursing jobs and social work jobs so we can move to paradise. Those adorably cute sleeping boys were heart broken when I had to tell them today that it was very unlikely that we would actually move to Hawaii. I don't know though, it honestly is soooo tempting. Wish we could. Thanks again for taking us in, we miss you guys already. You're probably getting lots of work done today though, huh. Love ya! Say hey to the boys and Tatum.
