Kupcakes for Kute Kasey!

The thing I love about blogging is all the good deeds you can do with your blogging power. And I'm not just talking about virtual deeds, I'm talking about actual deeds.

Today I got an email from a kute mom who is a ho-hum stalker of mine. She said she has a kute daughter's named Kasey who just so happens to attend my kute university (which will go un-named to protect it's identity and location). She told me kute Kasey is having a birthday today and did I happen to know anyone who could deliver some balloons or flowers or cupcakes to her dorm?

Did she say cupcakes?

Everyone knows that making cupcakes is my passion. Since I didn't have time to sewl any, I decided to bake some real ones and deliver them to kute Kasey myself.

Everything was going along just swimmingly and I had my first cupcake ready when my bff in real life, crazy Laura, showed up and started bossing me around.

"Crash," she said, "You need more swirl. And do you have anything to put on top besides a dum dum sucker?"

"Okay, and Yes," I said.

"I have a dum dum gum pop."

"No, Crash," said Swirl. (I call her Swirl since she recently changed her blog identity from Boys and Balls Bouncing Off the Walls to Girl in a Swirl. It means the exact same thing anyway. I told her she should change her blog to Crazy Laura like everyone else. And anyway she really is crazy. Anyone who takes photos of themselves in their bathroom mirror is nuts if you ask me.)

"No, Crash," said Swirl. "MORE SWIRL, and stop already with the dum dum dum suckers. Do you have anything . . . smarter?"

"Okay, and YES," I said.

"There!" I said. "Swirlier and Smartier."

She yanked my frosting decorator thingie right out of my hands and said, "Let me do it, Crash."

(So rude. She's not even my bff in real life either. She's just my neighbor who borrows my eggs and I borrow her onions.)

"This is how you decorate a swirly-smarty cupcake," she said.

And she proceeded to totally one up me with the swirls. And then she's like, "I made the perfect card for this occasion. Let me run home and get it."

Crazy crafter.

But look at the way she signed the card.

Am I being petty? Because this whole cupcake thing was MY idea.

Then she wants to tag along with me to deliver the cupcakes. I was like, "Don't you have somewhere to be or something to do?" And she's like "No, this is so much fun, Crash. Let's see which cupcakes kute Kasey likes better."

She totally put kute Kasey on the spot with all her questions, I could tell.

And then this is what happened to MY cupcakes!

Swirl thought it was the kutest thing ever.

And now they're bff's.

Crazy Laura!

Anyway . . . HAPPY BIRTHDAY KUTE KASEY!

I love that picture of the cupcake falling. How awesome is it that you happened to catch that on film...or should I say memory card, whatever.

I'm totally voting for your cupcakes because Swirl called me out for supposedly staging a photo and saying that I looked all bad, even though it was posed. Boo!! Hiss!!

I love it when I win and make the first comment! Yea for me!

Your verifier is calling me "redinc". I beg your pardon! I'm not a redneck.

Alyson | New England Living said...

Ok, now the verifier is saying "hympuni" and that's just dirty and it needs to repent.

I wonder what's wrong with you?

And I wonder, if as a fellow English teacher, you could explain to me why I feel the need to use an interrogative mark at the end of what I am perfectly aware is a declarative statement and should have a period, but...it doesn't look right. I wonder...? just needs a question mark even though it's a statement and I guess I'll just learn to live with that.

Maybe that's off topic.

Dang it Crash and Swirl...you made me wanna go bake some cupcakes and it is 11:30 pm. Those look sooo yummy!

Hmmm- maybe I need to go take a pregnancy test instead...hahahahaha

I just got a craving and I cut my hair all off this week. I ONLY cut my hair off when I am early pregnant. Yikes..why am I spilling my guts to your bloggers.
Hi everyone!!

You girls are obviously crazy and I don't have a clue what you are all talking about....This is Sandi, KUTE KASEY'S mom, and I am just so amazed at this good deed that was done today..it was seriously the sweetest thing ever and I now pledge to be a serious stalker of this blog instead of ho-hum as in my past life. Thank you MRS. CRASH TEST DUMMY!!!! you made our day!!
p.s. your cupcakes were totally the cutest..for sure.

Emily - WHAAAT??!! PREGNANT?

Funny Farmer said...

In my world, cupcakes are fer eatin', not starin' at.

Maybe that's why I've been the 8-yr old cub scout leader for 3 1/2 years.

Hm...

MMMMMM! All cuppies are good cuppies, I'd eat 'em all in a heartbeat!!

*MARY* said...

Instead of cupcakes, I want giant wokcakes for my birthday, ok?

Me (aka Danielle) said...

You can't go wrong with cupcakes, no matter how you decorate them. But for the records, Swirls were pretty darn cute. Not that yours werent, I'm just putting that out there..

The Crash Test Dummy said...

Hi ALison, thanks for your vote. YAY! But how is hympuni dirty? Am I missing something? I'm going to ask Kristina P. She'll know if it's dirty or not.

Melanie, I don't know what the heck your talking about. I was just kidding about being an English teacher. But now I wonder what's wrong with YOU!
Since you point all that stuff out, I'm now moving you up the hoity toity English teacher category.

Emily, OMGOSH, you're PREGGERS!? Send us a photo of the new hair and the preg test. And btw, just for future reference . . . my comment box is not a confessional or an announcement board. I don't know why nobody gets that.

Except Sandi. Sandi knows exactly what to do in a comment box! HI Sandi. No worries. Your daughter is super KUTE! I hope she didn't eat my cupcakes because they were just styrofoam props.

Lisa, if you use styrofoam prop cupcakes you'll be released from cub scouts for sure!

Or you can use cuppies, like Wendy does. Or Wokcakes like Mary does. (What the? She is so random.)

Wendy too. What the heck are cuppies? It must have been late when you wrote that. Send us your address and we'll pass it on to Audrey. Or did Sewl already do that? She may have forgotten cause she's pregnant.

And Eagle View girl, HELLO, this is MY blog and MY comment box. If you want to give Swirl a compliment you can just head on over to her girly swirly blog.

I'm just putting that out there.

Good night everyone!

Happy Birthday Kasey!

Uh, Melanie. I made all those grammar mistakes and typos in your section on purpose.

Just so you know.

I totally love your blog. I am glad that you visit my blog too. I am just getting into it. I am coming up on my 100th post soon and have already started making my 100 list. BTW- your word verification says domella. I think that is Cruella's daughter, what do you think.

Also, I love the Bats? t-shirt. If you are totally serious about getting me a t-shirt I'd love that one!!! You rock!

Emily Anne Leyland said...

Not pregnant!!!! It was negative..hahahaha. I guess I just got a crazy hair impulse which btw I hate. It looks sooo dumb :)

All I'm saying is that Alyson always tries to ONE UP me with her first three comments...I slept the day away rather then sitting at my computer waiting for CRASH to post...

Alyson...staging anything is just wrong--so I see your HISS and BOO HISS some more!

Don't feel bad Crash...

Cause I would have eaten your cupcakes...even if they did fall on the ground...because unfortunately I love food that much...but frosting more!

And Emily...I'm totally telling Grandma your pregnant...or now NOT pregnant...and that you cut your hair but didn't donate it to Lock of Love...she'll be so disappointed!

Oh and if you are a TRUE writer...this is what I hear...you don't believe in GRAMMAR...maybe that goes for HOITY TOITY English teachers too?

LBBlum said...

okay- let me set the story straight... (CRASH I know this is your blog and all-- but I appreciate EagleVeiwgirl...for her integrity and standing up for what she believes in.. the cutness of my cuppies.)

Okay- CRASH totally called me up and said, "Girl these cuppies need some SWIRL- get over here and help me decorate them!"
and then, I guess, the rest is pretty much true.... :0)

who just sticks a dum dum lolipop on a cupcake? besides an 8 year old boy, funny farmer? ...
and alyson-- I thought you said you forgave me for that comment-- it really was a back-handed compliment!

Funny Farmer said...

Hey Laura - I am so disappointed in you. You are a mother of boys: you know darn well they don't stop at sticking a dumdum in the top of a cupcake. They pile on all the smarties and sprinkles twizzler pull-apart red licorice and colored sugar crystals and then stick in FIVE dumdumbs and then try to swallow the thing whole (wrappers included).

It's hip to be "squer"

The Crash Test Dummy said...

heee hee ha ha heee hehe to all of you!

Regular comedians, the whole bunch of ya.

hip to be squer. hee he he he No wonder you're my BBFF.

P.S. SORRY I missed your IM yesterday. I was making cupcakes with swirl.

Funny Farmer said...

Yeah. There's always a good excuse, isn't there? You can post fifteen comments around the internet, but you're too busy making cupcakes to IM with me. Hey, I can take a hint.

The Crash Test Dummy said...

Hey, I never made 15 comments around the internet!!

Are you accusing me of lying while I'm off scattering good deeds in the form of frosting around Laie?

Shelle- you tell Grandma and I'll...
I'll... I'll...something :)

Oh no way!!! The verifier is tadled.

HAHAHAHAHAH- you tattler Shelle

Shelle-BlokThoughts said...

First Sewl's verifier has something against me...now YOURs does CRASH? I might just have to put up a word verifier of my own so I have someone on my side...

I don't tattle...unless...it's NECESSARY...

WHEOURIT...

we are it...

That's deep!

Martha said...

I feel a little left out because I didn't get any credit for providing the baking cups for those cute cupcakes?

Martha said...

Oh, yeah and I'm also feeling left out that you and Laura are such BFF's now. I was her BFF first. Wait... I was your BFF before that. Now you two are together and I'm just left in the dust.

The Crash Test Dummy said...

But I said she's not my bff at all, just my neighbor. You can have her, Martha. She's crazy anyway. ;)

And anyway, I used your stalker tip. And I'll be posting a photo of you on Monday. At least the back of you.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA.
I owe you a dollar.
I tried not to laugh with my belly, because then it's double.
I've just decided I'm totally against cupcakes, despite their resurging popularity. Too much dry edge. I like the middle piece in the cake pan. And I like more fat between layers. Cupcakes make you feel like you only get one. Which is not okay at all.
But they are dang cute. I prefer the dum dum ones.

Swirl - Forgive, definitely. But forget? Never! Only kidding, I'll probably forget by the time I'm 90. I'll probably forget my own kids by then. So, no big woop.
