I'm CURED!

OMGOSH! I've been working through some major major HTML issues for the past 4 freakin' hours.

But guess what?

I'm cured!

I've conquered my HTML ineptitude!!

I did it, peeps!

Funny Farmer is going to have a heart attack because I just designed and posted the lovely Magic Quilt button you see in the top right hand corner all by myself! (With a few tips from Swirl).

Oh, Yea, that's what I'm talking about. (Now I just have to figure out how to get my Crash Test Dummy Button back.)

So PLEASE grab a button and jump on the magic bus, gus. Scatter some sunshine. Spread the word because we got our first submission for the magic quilt today!

YAY!

Mahalo Amanda for making us one quilt block closer to healing the world.

Grab a tissue and go cry your heart out by clicking here.

P.S. Hey, how much will you give me if I get JJ to donate a t-shirt for the magic quilt? Huh? huh? huh?

P.S.S. Does anyone need a button?

P.S.S.S. You thought I was going to say I'm cured of Jack Johnson, didn't you!

Dude! I just spent an hour on Friday doing my own button. It's so hard, isn't it? Please tell me you got frustrated and ate a lot of chocolate too during the process??

Love it :)

AAAARGH!
I can't believe I'm not first, even though i'm in the same time zone and should be the only one awake.
HTML is annoying. You're supposed to leave that to the professionals, Crash.
I really am excited about your quilt, but truthfully I cannot think of one piece of fabric that means anything to me that I don't still wear. Really. How lame am I? Can I still be in your magic quilt without fabric?
Okay, your WV is "wings"
You've GOTTA be setting me up. Seriously.

Yes, I got frustrated and ate a bunch of chocolate chips--swirly chocolate chips.

Mariko, just give me some fabric that represents your FIL. Have Jake pick it out. PRETTY PLEASE.

Or give me something tie-dyed. Like some old Savers shirt. hee hee.

I had no idea buttons were hard! I'm grateful for the chica that designed my blog, even more.

Seriously that story was so sweet. Just amazing!

This quilt is going to be awesome!

Now I feel bad, Dummy! I have a really easy tutorial on how to make a button. And for a small fee of $100, I would have shared it with you.

Congrats! It looks good and it even takes me to the right place.

Did anyone ever decide if my sand-washed silk would work? I love it and it has a sweet story. But silk is a pain to sew.

Kristina, you maka me laf!

Crash, I am so impressed with your skills, yet again.

But even more you have to know that you have helped me with my bucket, again. This has been such a hard week, and to see you doing something for my mom, is just so happyifying. And to click on your link and see her happy face smiling at me. I don't even know what to say, except you totally rock.

Wow..congratulations. I am really impressed.

And yeah, I thought you are truly cured of JJ...drat...LOL

Love the button, I grabbed one already. The first entry of the magic quilt is very sweet.

Dork that I am - it took me forever just to figure out how to put the button on my blog!!

But, it's there now! Well done Crash! And I'm glad you supplemented with chocolate, it makes the button that much more special!

I don't see the button. Is it just me? Truthfully, I do have stomach flu today so it could be me. It could be me even without the flu. I thought I would mention it, though, in case it isn't just me. (It says something about the image being removed . . )

WEIRD!!! I was just going to tell you that I couldn't see your button like Heidi, and I went to look at it again and it was there! It really IS a magic button! WOW!!!

Crash, you should have asked for my pointers :)

Find a button size you like on someone else's page then while on the webpage in internet explorer, go to "View" beside "File" & "Edit" and scroll down to "Source"

Once all the html garbage comes up in it's own window, use control+f to start a search. Look for a specific word like "magic" for your magic quilt button or "bookclub" for Swirl's bookclub4boys button. Continue searching until you find a reference for a widget in conjunction with the specific word search and then copy the string of html. Replace their URL with your URL to create the link back and your URL for the image.

Viola!

So I don't know how grateful I should be that my wittle baby sister AniC made mine?

I need to reread about the quilt. If it involved going to the post office to send something, I'm in trouble.

So the button worked for me and I just went over there and sent my story and pic of my fabric...I can't wait to see what everyone sends in!

Sorry about the button guys. I was trying to make it a little bit smaller so it didn't dominate your side bars, but accidentally erased it and had to do over. NO WORRIES. I'm an expert now. hee hee.

Sandi I just posted your story. I LOVED IT. I totally got chills. Thank you so much for sending it. And I love the fabric.

Now you tell me AMANDA! Thanks!

Val I'm sorry it took you so long and now you're going to have to grab another one. I'll send you five bucks for emotional damages.

hee hee, OBG. I really want you to send some fabric that reminds you of your wife for the quilt. And tell us a lovely story about her.

I didn't even know that the magic button on my blog had disappeared! Perhaps I should visit my own blog more often! I'm off to try to put it on again - I'll send you my address for the $5!!
