My Surprise Party

Hey, everyone, there's a party over in Shelle's comment box. It's actually a surprise party. For me. So shhhhhh . . . don't tell me. Just go over there and crouch down and wait for me to show up and when I finally do show up, jump out and yell . . .

SURPRISE!

(I can't wait. I love surprises.)

I'll probably be a little late because I'm uber busy (as my daughter would say.) (No, actually she would say I'm busy as pooh!)

In fact I have no idea what I'm going to post about tonight because I'm so uber busy as pooh! (eww, I hate that word. But it's not as bad with that "h" on the end.)

I do have good news. I finished grading all my research papers. Plus I made eight slide shows, 56 choclate chip cookies and a taco salad to die for. (So done with Turkey.)

Phew!

This is why I'm in such an uber chatty mood tonight.

And yet I can't think of an single thing to say. Brain freeze.

Hmmmmm . . .

Uber awkward pause!

I think tomorrow I will go into town and suck the marrow out of Jamba Juice because I'm still feeling that sense of urgency to take a bite out of life.

Do you ever get that urgency where you suddenly feel all cooped up and bogged down?

Me neither.

Just trying to make conversation.

But have you noticed I never used to want to suck the marrow out of cookie dough or take a bite out of life before I saw Twilight?

Do you think I'm bored and lonely and craving excitement?

I'm probably just trying to drive Sandi and Kristina P. crazy because they scoff at smokin' hot vampires and I already tried the Barry Manilow torture chamber and the Andy Williams sing-a-long.

I know! I'll just wish you guys a Mele Kalikimaka and call it a night.

Mele Kalikimaka everyone! From the land where palm trees sway.

And don't believe anything Shelle says about me. Or Funny Farmer. Or Swirl. They all just want the quilt that Kritta22 made for me, which I won FAIR and SQUARE!

P.S. Go check out Pat's awesome new Hamster Wheel! I can't stop looking at her.

Oh, and you have to check out my sister site today. I posted a beautiful letter written by my uber darling daughter.

Oh, and everyone needs to go give Melanie at Write Stuff a hug. She's feeling blog lonely.

btw, ffr, jic, iteo, if anyone else needs a hug just let me know because I'm feeling uber huggable.

ha! Gotcha Shelle . . . hee hee. It's not really me. I'm in bed snoozing. This was written by my creative writing class. I gave them an assignment to follow up on my followers.

This post was hysterical. Like you were on crack or something! That's literally how i talk after being on the road alone for hours on end each day for work, when I finally get home to any adult attention what so ever! Those poor people.

I'm needing a cyber hug! Where do I sign up? Where does the line start?

I think you're forgetting that I scoff at smokin' hot vampires too. I think being into Twilight is like wearing your bored mommy status on your sleeve.

I like to read your blog just to see how many times you mention cookie dough.

And what does iteo stand for? My 17 year old has already left for school.

Thanks for the plug but most especially, thanks for Mele Kalikimaka!
bowmalt: nah, I can't make anything uber Twilight out of that

WOW...I totally thought I would get you in the whole surprise arena but you already knew! It's our twin telepathy huh?

Dang I should know better!

You and Kritta were hilarious in the comment section...I kept the cheetos to myself because I like to dip them in Applesauce and I only had like 3 handfuls left so it wouldn't have been fair for you guys to try and split that...it just simply wouldn't have been enough! :)

And I am butting in front of Alyson for another hug because she takes incredible scenic pictures and I'm envious of her!

UNDIN: Underwear IN...which basically means to have clean underwear on for the UNSURPRISE party for you!

Crap forgot to hit follow in the comments...

Thanks for the hug. And I would totally repay you with a big ole comment here, except I used up all my words on Shelle's blog. Sorry!

I say we all gather round for a cyber group hug, because I could sure use one also.
I loved this post also.
Now I am headed over to the surprise party which apparently I am terrible late for.

I forgot to hit follow also.

No, no, you have it all wrong. I don't scoff at super hot vampires. I scoff at really ugly vampires, who think they are super hot and like to use the Joey Tribiani "Smell the fart" method of acting.

hee hee to all of you! I better go peek in on the surprise party. I'll just be a fly on the wall though so don't yell surprise yet. I'm not going to show up until later cause I just remembered I do still have 2 more research papers to grade.

And I didn't know you could follow comments. That is soooo cool. Can I follow my own comments? I'll probably go follow my surprise party comments.

I better scuttdaddle on outahere

I'm popping over from Shelle's blog. I have no idea if I believe her or you or whatever but this is a pretty darn funny blog. So I'll stick around and see what else 'your students' have to say. :)

I'm just kinda wondering if this is what Island fever looks like? are you ok? I did go check out Kristina P's Twilight review and nearly wet my pants. Thanks for that hot tip. I hope your suprise party is very surprising. sorry I can't make it.
p.s. I looked up David Santos and he kind of creeped me out in a Edward Cullen sort of way....

Blogging mama, you can trust me. I'm fo' real. I never plagiarize or allow my students to plagiarize. I would never let anyone do my work for me, or play for me, or blog for me.

And Sandi, you are too dang funny, girlfriend. My goodness. Did I find you a soul mate in Kristina P or what?

Susan, YOU ARE SO RIGHT about the CRACK. I was on the CRACK OF DAWN! That always makes me loopy! So glad someone gets that! Thanks.

P.S. I'm soooooo excited to have a snowman in my comment box and now on my sidebar. Thanks Georgie. You made my day.

Did I not tell you guys It's THE most WONDERFUL time of the year?

The Crash Test Dummy said...

Pat and Alyson, I forgot to give you guys a cyber hug. HUG. But Alyson, I can't believe I'm giving you a hug because you just insulted all of us bored Mommy's who want nothing more than to take a bite out of life Twilight style. And to think . . . before I saw Twilight I used to want nothing more than to take a bite out of life cookie dough style.

That was for you highlander.

And you guys . . . guess what! I didn't realize you can follow your comment box via email. This is blowing my mind!

They don't call me dummy for nuthin.

They call me dummy because I don't like to read instructions. I wait for people to point me in the right direction.

Highlander, iteo stands for in the event of . . . hee hee hee hee I love messing with you guyses heads.

Hump Crash..how can that be a surprise party if you already know?
You are such a sneaky lil plastic bobble head...you peeked uh?
Can't say I'm surprise, no one can fool the dummy..ahahah, j/k. I'll stalk you over to your supposed-to-be-surprise-party-if-you-didn't-peek and see if I can think of anything witty to say about you.
Twilight ruined me, I'm still kinda vampire-ish freak-ish right now.

Ooooh, your verifier says nothn, yep nothn can come from cheating on your surprise party..ahah.

Ok, now I am confused after visiting Shelle. Did you sound like you were on crack because you just threw together 30+ student ideas out in that post? I am SOOOO confused. HELP!! But then again, it doesn't matter. If you can make me laugh, I don't care who the hell writes the material. Thanks for the fun!

The Crash Test Dummy said...

No Susan, I don't need 30+ students ideas to sound like I'm on crack. Sadly, (and happily) I can sound like I'm on crack all by myself.

I'm the real deal, girlfriend. Nothing super hopeless about me.

Silly Shelle, trying to plant the seeds of mistrust.

Shelle-BlokThoughts said...

OKAY OKAY...She is real. Sorry Crash for foolin' people. I must be THAT good at convincing!

But you have to admit...it would be a great plan for a blog...really! You should think about it.

Sorry for making people doubt your Realism...hahaha...realism, I kill myself.

Crash IS real...I vouched for you on my blog comment box...

Your real and a GENIUS at creative writing!!! And I'm proud to call you twin!

Kritta22, haven't you ever heard the old adage, "The faster I go (at my housework, the behinder I get (with my blogging).

Look to it, girl!

Not to be rude, but can everyone go home now. I'm gonna hit the hay.

I can't believe Funny Farmer never showed up to my party!

:Shakes head sadly.
