Go Red Raiders! (And Go STEELERS!)

* I never thought I'd censor myself, but . . . some of you may notice this post has been changed from it's original state.

Guess what I've been doing all weekend?

Cheering my heart out at my daughter's soccer playoff games.

YAY! Go Team!

I even tried to fit into my old cheer skirt from high school but I couldn't zip it up. (My daughter was so bummed. She loves it when I wear it in public almost as much as she loves it when I talk about my comma in public.)

Remember the time when I saw Jack Johnson at my daughter's soccer game?

Well, I saw him again while I was taking this action shot of my daughter.

How lucky am I? Nicest famous guy in the world.

But famous people are people too and I vow never to speak his famous name again so as to respect his privacy and not embarrass his neice or put my daughter at risk of being stoned in the public square at school.

(Fame stinks! But I think I'd like fortune!)

BTW, My daughter's team took 2nd place! YAY! Go Red Raiders! They've never gone this far before.

(I just wish I could still fit into my cheer skirt so I could've done a round off back handspring.)

great weekend

Ok now the pressure of getting the first commentis over, I can say what I gotta say.

Girls watch and learn from my wisdomly ways. If you see that there are no comments yet, just post anything short as fast as your little fingers can type. Although the word verifier was trying to thwart my plan by asking me to type in supercalifragilisticexpealidocios. But Kristina must be at church, not to mention the rest of you, so I still reign triumphant in the first post of the day. Go me.

And guys don't hate me, but I don't care who wins the super bowl either. I was rooting for the Giants because my best friend, ex-BYU football player Briah Keihl is on the team. But boo for them. We are best friends because we shared and indepth 4 minute conversation at a firside last year before the bowl game. Just so you know.

Yay for Crash's cute daughter and her team kicking some booty. How much fun to watch and great action shot by the way.

LOL NHC. You definitely can run/type fast when the occasion calls for it uh. I was going to take advantage of church not starting til noon to be the first one to comment, for once, but you beat me to it. Funny thing is now I don't even remember what I skimmed through.

Crash is going to start putting up locks on her comment box with a guard and password and all so that we can't comment first and then read her post second.

Sorry Crash, it's very addictive to race to your comment box. Ok, now I'm going back to really read the post now.

How cool is that!?!?! Yay for you!!

Go RED!! So proud of you, girls.

Crash, I was cheering for your daughter, NOT you!! Ahahahah.

I have to ROFL at you picturing JJ in his underwear..that was hilarious. I wonder what the hubby would think of you picturing another man in his undies..LOL.

Maybe I should ask him, next time I see him? LOL

{JK...you should see your face.} Dang now I really wish I am that MY DIARY...I am sooo in the mood to tease and taunt you, don't ask me why..lol.

It's kinda nice to know that I don't even have to post anything to get you girls to RACE to my comment box. That relieves a lot of pressure. I could say My dog has fleas and you'd be totally fine with it.

It's also kinda nice that my verifier say glubleva. It shows that my verifier is watching my every move and knows exactly what I put into my mouth and isn't afraid to share that information with the world.

I will be by to visit each of your blogs sooooooooon. I pinky promise. Sorry I've been MIA.

And Anjeny/Emerida THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE NOMINATIONS. I actually had no idea it was you until you said you had a confession. YOU da bomb!

I'll post about it tomorrow

The Crash Test Dummy said...

For the record. I actually didn't even think to picture JJ in his underwear. Didn't think of that line until the ride home in the car.

And I'm very sure he didn't picture me in my underwear since I was wearing a baseball cap and my husbands XL San Fran Giants Fleece Jacket. But if he had he definitely WOULD have said "Hey Gotta SCRAM MUY PRONTO!"

hee hee

Anjeny, I did read the post first. I think maybe I have a phyic link with Crash, because I don't have twitter or whatever special took Kristina has. I seriously have just gotten lucky to check and see if there was a new post and get to post first. The funny thing is that I really am not that concerned with it. I suppose it is like when you are shopping at a sale and you see something and don't really like it until some one else tries to get it and then you hurry and snatch it up before them.

So very cool - JJ and the game! What a fabulous weekend!

Way to go NHC - but you really shouldn't give away all your trade secrets - but since you did - game on girl!

It's my birthday and the universe has given me a lovely gift - SNOW - yeah, thanks universe - do you happen to have a gift receipt? 'Cause I'd like to return it.

Nutty Hamster Chick said...

Oh my goodnes Val that made me ROTFL so hard. Can I return it? he he he he he Sorry about your first winter in Utah. My sister is going through the same thing. And she is not a fan either. How is the ankle doing?

And seriously, if my tips help you comment first, I will be happy for you. I am just a giver that way.

Oh and happy birthday by the way.

The Crash Test Dummy said...

LOL HHC! You are so cute. And wise.

And LOL Val, gift receipt. HA HA HA. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice!!!I think he may be considering a restraining order against you soon though :)

Tatum is such a cutie. What a great athlete.

The Crash Test Dummy said...

Oh Emily, you could be right. LOL!

Nutty Hamster Chick said...

I think restraining order are highly underated. Just saying.

How amazing that you are always running into JJ. You should write a script and memorize it so that you don't seem like a raving lunatic fan next time you meet up.

Sandi said...

Well it looks like those girls are happy even though it wasn't 1st place, that must mean they played their hardest and did a great job! Great pic of your daughter...I would definitely get out of her way! Darn that JJ gave himself away when he used Tamn's name in vain- he has been lurking here and knows each one of us by name and is probably scared to death.

T said...

can we say stalker?

I think though you may guilt him into joining your little blog-cult eventually if you say "huh huh huh" enough!

Jami said...

I'm beginning to feel silly when I actually comment on your post, Crash.

Oh well. I've been a dork before and I'll be a dork again. SO...here are my suggestions. First, that you get your cute little toned buns over to my blog and read about my wild ride through the 'hood this week. SECOND (and actually this is the part where I refer to your post) Make a business card with your blog address. Kiss him full on the lips and hand him the card. See what happens.

Go Red Raiders!

How'd the fireside go?

My WV = patio. What is the universe trying to tell me?

Talk about pressure, I hate meeting famous people. How do you pretend that they're not famous and that you don't know way more about them than they know about you? And then when you say something and they don't fall over laughing, you start telling horrible stories about girdles and weiners as they slow back away...I hope I never meet Jack Johnson.

I've missed you this last week. I've been slightly addicted to online shopping. Oops.

Annie Valentine said...

Oh yeah, I don't personally get the "first comment" jitters. First comment, 19th comment, it's all the same to me.

April said...

Just for the record....what kind of underwear does JJ wear? Inquiring/bored (stuck in the house for 2 weeks) minds want to know! Just saying! Throw me a bone here!

Are you REALLY voting for the Steelers? Cause all I see in the pictures are RED uniforms!!!

GO CARDS!!!!!!!!!!

I am LoW said...

Luckyyyyyyyyyyyy~~~

WV- tinglys- I think that's what Crash gets every time she see's JJ, eh?

Kritta22 said...

Do you have to wear the skirt to do the backspring?

You are so silly with your star-frenzy. They are just people.

COngrats to your daughter!! Nice work, chica!

Mariko said...

You're right, you don't have to jog with me, because you almost fit into your skirt from high school. You need to sit in front of the couch and eat some cookies. I told JJ's niece that her picture was up on your blog and she freaked out.
Congrats to your daughter for looking awesome in that action shot. I think every action shot I've ever been in has been me looking like a zombie and my hair everywhere.

The Crash Test Dummy said...

OMGOSH, Mariko. No wonder she gives me stink eye every time she looks at me.

Now I feel S.T.U.P.I.D. I think I bett take this post down so as not to impede my poor daughter's social life.

1,000 apologies to the real people who's privacy I've invaded for a laugh.

T said...

the changes make you almost look... ummm... well... (will this offend you?)... frankly, a little on the normal side...

Social life? you're worried about impeding a teens' social life? I'm looking for MORE ways to impede my sons... maybe I'll e-mail you some photos to post and we'll see if that works? (I've got a great one of him as a toddler pulling a lady godiva on his little horse riding toy)

Hmmm... how badly do we need to impede this? is it worth the years of anger?

The Crash Test Dummy said...

I know T!!!!!! I hate being normal. Normal isn't funny!!!!!!!

SIGH!

And having a conscience isn't funny either.

POUT.

Did he ever satisfactorily answer the question if Curious George is as rascally in real life as he is in the movies? I have been wondering that myself.

Word verifier says 'taxinger'- Tax man's a'comin!

Barbaloot said...

Congrats to your daughter!! (And her team)
Makes me miss the days of playing on teams.

April said...

Just remember, teens freak out over everything.....I have found that even boys do. LUCKY!

I'm so glad there are no feminine products in my house. I would just have to shoot myself....is that too dramatic?

val of the south said...

Ijust want to say thanks SO much for all the birthday love! You really know how to make a girl feel special!!!

Youngblood4ever said...

Now that would be a sight to see! I too am sad that the zipper was not functioning (you can blame it on the zipper, k?).

Congrats girls on the 2nd place. Soccer was never my game- too much running involved. I am a wimp when it comes to continual running. I like baseball/softball because I only had to sprint.

I have gone off about myself again, haven't I. Well, it IS all about me, right?

Jen said...

Nice action shot. And nice to see you again, since I've been AWOL from Blogland for FIVE days!

And if I'd known cheer skirts enabled round-off back handsprings, I'd have dug mine out of my mom's attic years ago...

Kritta22 said...

Ohhhhh it changed!! Did your daughter freak out? Who were you apologizing to? I'm soooo lost.

(You will note that this is the second time kritta has been confused here!!)

The Crash Test Dummy said...

I know Kritta. I'm apologizing to Jack Johnson's neice who freaked out when Mariko told her I posted a picture of her on my blog.

I would hate to invade privacy or be misunderstood by famous people I respect and their neices I also respect. My daughter didn't freak out. She is oblivious to the whole thing because she doesn't read my blog, but some of her friends do and her English teacher does so I best be cautious when being cute and clever about people they know.

Sorry to confuse!

HOW ARE YOU Anyway?
