Knock Knock

Who's there?

Uber.

Uber who?

Uber tired mom, uber early morning, uber long day, uber messy house, uber hungry kids, and uber neglected husband.

Hence I'm going to leave my uber awesome Jack Johnson encounter post up for one more (uber patiently waiting for him to arrive) day. (J/K, JJ. I know you're (probably) not coming.)

Plus it's uber fun to listen to him sing while I'm watching him walk toward me, then stand next to me with his arm wrapped around me.

(Honestly, I don't think I'll ever wash this post again.)

Wow! I said what I needed to say in 6 minutes. Woohoo! World record for me.

I hear ya!!! That's exactly how I feel today. I wanna crawl up in a ball and just go to bed for like a month. Having my hubby gone sure doesn't help either. GO to bed early my dear. That's my plan.

Jami said...

Here's to hoping you have uber yummy take-out, followed by an uber early bedtime, culminating in uber snuggly wholesome recreational activities and an uber restful night of sleep.

What? Jack still hasn't dropped by? Maybe he's a lurker? Hey - whatever... now you can just claim JJ as a lurker and nobody can prove you're wrong!

(and Jack - you're welcome to lurk over at my place anytime too :)

oops - the verifier is calling me on the lie "runcon"

I am uber happy that you used uber in this post, as it's one of my favorite words.

Culminating in uber snuggly wholesome recreational activies? Jami! My my! You put me to the blush! (get some rest, Crash!)

I'll answer that door for you Crash. Who's Uber? Seriously, they just keep saying, "Uber". Bless their hearts!

Oh well, I'll just cuddle in my favorite quilt. Weird, I haven't felt like blogging all day bloggonit!!

This should make you feel better.

That is the most awesome word I've seen all year.
I know what you mean. Bleh. I tried to retreat to an episode of 24 right after school but the stupid DISC was not working! I felt desperate so I actually bought the episode off itunes, and while it was downloading the baby woke up. ARRRRGH. Uber annoying. The universe just doesn't want us to relax when we need to.

Seriously, so blessed! said...

Ok, so I don't want to be a jerk here, but it's OOBER.

Hi everyone. I didn't go to bed early. I went to my sons basketball game and realized it was my turn to bring snacks. OOPS. So I rushed home and threw a bunch of chips and cookies and little cutie oranges in brown bags, grabbed a cooler and a couple 6 packs (of juice) ran to McDonalds and waited in an uber long line to buy a bunch a McChicken sandwhiches which they said would be cooked as soon as they finished skinning the chicken. 15 minutes later . . . still waiting. Long story short I showed up too late and everyone was gone.

Sorry Martha. I can do snacks tomorrow night! They're all ready.

Been one of those days.

Thanks for dropping by to tuck me in early. You guys are the best.

Emily where's your hubby?

JAMI!!!!? Did you just say that? snuggly wholesome? I'm not into snuggly wholesome! BORING! Yawn!!!

Mariko, my husband LOVES 24. We had a marathon a few summers ago and watched 5 seasons in a week. Skipped church and everything.

Oh Tamners, you are so sweet to stop by and be a jerk. Especially since JJ never showed. You're my second favorite famous person so you made my night. But I hate to break it to you . . . spelling bees aren't beauty pageants, girlfriend. You may be beautiful and you may be smart, but you're dumb.

hee hee J/K Tamn. LY!!!!! I'm dumb too! Maybe we're both spelling it wrong.

Jami said...

Don't forget the recreational part.

A few of us waited for you to come back with the snacks, but after 15 mins. we gave up. Your MIL was trying to call you, bless her heart, she was so worried.

Then I realized I didn't put your snack day on the calendar. So I take part responsibility. Would you like me to update your calendar with the other snacks and email it back to you? I was hoping if I just got you started you could add your own important dates and appointments. You know, teach a girl to fish kinda thing.

The Crash Test Dummy said...

Martha, thanks for handing me the fishing pole and teaching me to fish. I did check the calendar on Saturday and knew I had snacks sometime this week. I was thinking it was Thursday so I bought everything at Costco yesterday, but had such a crazy day I didn't make the connection. Brain dead. Can I trade you snacks tonight?

And if you're willing to take responsiblity I'll just blame you. hee hee J/K.

So girls, here's the deal with the tired dummy. First I started teaching again. And I teach every day of the week now, except today. Second, and most importantly, remember 28 days ago when I was cranky and started breaking commandments while my ILs were here? And then 28 days before that I was emotional and crying over butterflies and Thomas Jefferson?

Well now I'm on my . . . not my comma (or my elipses) again so this cycle I get to be tired.

Sigh!

LY everyone!

The Crash Test Dummy said...

LY Funny Farmer.

And Jami . . . SMACK! I don't do recreation when I'm not on my comma. Even when I am on my comma I don't do recreation.

Ah, über tired? You need über chocolate and an über nap :)

WV wismocks That's a good one!

The Crash Test Dummy said...

Oh trust the German blogging mama to spell uber correctly.

and Wismocks. That's my favorite word ever. Wise mocking is my dream job. Being a wiz at mocking is my other dream job.

Anjeny said...

Awww Crash...it's an uber annoying thing to be on one's comma. You should have had an EXCLAMATION instead...ahahahahah, I know I know, I'm cute this way..out of your mouth.

Don't you just hate it when that happens? I didn't mean to laugh at you, I was only laughing because your day sounds so fimiliar and I'm sure every bloggers who visit your blog and relate to the day you have.

I've messed up on the calender date so much that my kids are making it a point to remind me about certain commitments on their way out the door...HOW RUDE..

Hope today your day will be uber tame..lol

You just started a new fad here with ur "uber". Very catchy.

Sandi said...

Wow...you guys are into the snacks. I am much more of a "they're tough kids, they can go an hour without a blankety blank snack" kind of girl. But then again my kids accuse me of being a snack nazi too.

The Crash Test Dummy said...

Anjeny, go ahead and laugh and my comma and my exclamation points. Never mind that CTD's have feelings too. ;)

And HIGH FIVE Sandi! I so agree. It's like I do it without having a testimony of it, you know.

Alyson | New England Living said...

I'm like Emily and you. Too much to do! Plus, hubby is gone.

Don't ever wash this post again! I wouldn't blame you, even if it gets a little stinky in here.

The Crash Test Dummy said...

Oh, Alyson, can I just say LY! Love how you always get my jokes.

Jami said...

Ow. Take some midol, woman!

Mariko said...

Sorry, it's definitely UBER, with an umlaud (sp?) if you want to be precise.
OH OH OH! We're on the same cycle. Don't you feel super awesome punctuation mark best friends?
I love the shirt. LOVE.
My WV is "cycle"
SERIOUSLY. I would not lie about that.

The Crash Test Dummy said...

Oh Jami, midol isn't going to help with the recreation. SMACK.

YaY Mariko. I'm so glad you liked the shirt. And I'm so glad we're punctuation mark best friends. And I'm so glad my word verifier is so in tune with US!

Funny Farmer said...

:raises hand insistently until called upon:

Um. Mariko is already the Hoity-Toity English Teacher. Is she allowed to have two titles? Cuz that doesn't seem fair at all.

FF (who is definitely NOT not on her comma, and wouldn't tell the whole world if she was)
